I like this small business fish and chip shop and admire the healthy plants by windows. The fish and chips are top quality, and I’ve sampled so many up and down the UK and confirm the fish and chips are so tasty! So glad this place exists and hope it continues to stay open for a long time to come. The menu is straight forward. I only wish there were some more, homemade options to boost the menu for me to order 😋 I love that they have onion vinegar - yum! If I wasn’t trying to lose weight for a big event, I’d order from here weekly!

Forgot the rest, George's fish bar is the best. Call in advance and pick up your order hot and freshly cooked. Not on the takeaway sites so still reasonably priced. The batter is always light and crispy not too greasy like some of the other chippies.

The best fish and chips I have ever had. Great quality fish, generous portions. £20 for 2 x fish and chips . Very reasonably priced and worth every penny! Really enjoyed our take out this evening. This will definitely be my favorite local chippy from now on! Love the traditional look of this shop, gives it an authentic feel! Friendly and efficient staff. Would highly recommend 👍 Thank you !

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had I’m so glad it’s my local. The cod is so fresh and crispy and a large chips is enough to feed 3 people! Personally I love their old decor as it gives a a true sense of authenticity and tradition I hope they don’t change it😂 will be back again.

Fantastic, fresh crispy and the same experience everytime I wait for 10 minutes. Dont add salt and vinegar till you get home and ask for the fish to be wrapped separately. Superb and very tasty indeed. I'd recommend George's Fish shop any day of the week because he is reasonably priced the fish is s Good size and more than anything he beats most of the chip shops around and if you know me locally you know how fussy I am with my food. Make sure you go In and order and have it freshly cooked it's well worth the 10 minute wait. Enjoy everyone...

Old fashioned Chinese chippie. Aging decor maybe but it's a lovely throwback to an age of innocence and simplicity, with the friendly owners consistently making and selling the best fish and chips in the area and significantly cheaper than their local competitors. Love the food here.
